The last 12 months has seen a lot of attention thrown towards the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii but a lot of interest has been seen in new PC titles like Crysis and the like.

Despite the efforts of some, namely Alienware, gaming PC’s are usually thought of as being big, beastly, noisy, expensive and they are usually put in the corner of the bedroom. The next best option to change all this was ofcourse the so called gaming laptops at the time. Notebook PC’s are now accountable for up to 50 percent of all Computers shipped which has been propelled by consumers. Despite the fact that that the majority of users don’t require mobility or even a laptop there is something about being able to move a computer from place to place and neatly packing it away out of site that we all find necessary. The only problem for game players was that the majority laptops were not up to the task for gamers. Any laptop meant for playing games on was also big, beastly, noisy and just expensive.

A lot is different now. First the Intel Core 2 Duo processors ensured that the mobile processors caught up with their desktop counterparts.
Intel have done brilliantly marketing centrino and being the market leader but AMD has pushed them enough to excel in the notebook sector. Nvidia has also pushed the envelope on performance with their range of high-end Graphic cards. The future is looking bright. In 2008 Intel will release the quad core laptop CPU. The Nvidia Geforce 9 series is also set for release in the market.
