There is already a lot being said about malware (Trojans, viruses, worms, etc.) and attempts to obtain your cash, personal identity, usernames and passwords through various frauds and phishing schemes. While this is crucial information to have, practically nothing is being written about the tremendous amount of personal information pouring onto the Internet through the careless use of blogs and photo album services. In these popular new Internet outlets there exists a dangerous opportunity for predatory criminals; bloggers may in fact be fueling the fire and opportunity that these monsters need to commit their crimes!
To reinforce my statement I would love to point out one shining example I stumbled across a week ago and illustrate how one particular blogger has put her entire family in jeopardy. In the interest of their safety however, I am not going to identify the particular blog. I will however, relate to you what I saw so that you may learn from her mistakes then take an objective look at your own online presence and determine if changes need to be made.
The name of her site was something whimsical like “The Smith Family Blogosphere of Happiness” and the blog had its own URL- “TheSmithFamily.com.” This blogger was obviously dedicated! There were many pictures in the online photo album of blogger, her husband and beautiful children in various activities both at home and at school. She obviously put a lot of thought into the numerous blog entries about various subjects: family vacations; the usual ups and downs that she and her husband have at work and raising their children; how she felt about some issues in her community and anything else that seemed to cross her mind. It was a typical non-commercial blog.
No big deal right? Wrong… in terms of personal security this blog was a nightmare.
The first thing I noticed was that she identifies her last name in the title of her blog. A quick trip to the WHOIS database verified that her URL was registered publicly and identified the blogger by name, home address, private email address and home phone number.
She did a good job at referencing her children in her blog posts as “the oldest boy,” “our youngest son,” or “my daughter” but she mistakenly names most of the picture’s filenames after them (i.e. janes_xmas.jpg, johns_new_bike.jpg or john_and_jim.jpg); anyone can tell who’s who and put a face to a name.
Most horrifically, the kids are in athletic uniforms with the name of the school emblazoned across the front; knowing each child’s name, what they look like and the name of their school in conjunction with the address I obtained through the WHOIS record would allow me to find these particular children at school very easily.
While she only references her husband by his first name it isn’t much of a stretch to put it with her last name to reveal his identity. She describes both of their positions at work and names their employers. I even found a post referencing a vacation they were all taking in Acapulco, Mexico in December. The post was written in October.
I could have gained motor vehicle registration information (which includes full name, address, VIN, driver’s license number and date of birth) through the vehicle license plate information found in one particular picture. There are unscrupulous sellers on the Internet who will provide this information instantly to anyone with a credit card.
In completing my cursory internet profile, I “Googled” the blogger’s name, which returned nothing except for the blog, but when I searched on the email address I obtained via the URL’s WHOIS registration, I found her eBay identity, an entire UseNet newsgroup identity (which I am MOST sure that she wishes to keep VERY private since she did a good job maintaining her anonymity there) and a few other interesting morsels of information too bizarre even to mention.
It would not take the mental muscle of an evil genius to gather just a little bit of information to make this family’s location, identity, and habits, readily discernable. What horror would befall them then if someone were so inclined to cause them harm?
There are several things she should do differently. First, use good ol’ common sense, there is no greater substitute! Change the title and the URL address of her blog and remove her family’s last name. She can use a “proxy” or private registration service to maintain her URL with the registrar. She should use generic file names for her pictures that do not identify the people in them and obscure identifiers in the photos like the license plate and the school name on the uniforms too. She shouldn’t discuss the identity of her employer; if it is important, then refer to it in a generic manner such as “I work at an auto parts store.” She certainly should not be advertising when and where she will be vacationing in the future. Lastly, she should use a free (and anonymous) email address to post to newsgroups… especially when anyone may blush at the more than casual reference to her sexual inclinations.
I realize that you cannot avoid all risk in life, but the bottom line is if you participate in the online world, you will have to bear the risk of a certain amount of exposure and be prepared to address the issues that are part and parcel with sharing personal information on the Internet. Additionally, I concede that this blog was without a commercial purpose; out of necessity one often has to share personal identifying information when running an online business. It simply goes along with the territory.
I hope that you will take a critical look at your own online identity right now. Ask yourself, “Am I absolutely comfortable with what I have found?” If you are not, then resolve to do something about it today because someone else may stumble across your little corner of the Internet and decide to find you tomorrow. Unfortunately, this is reality.
Have a safe and prosperous new year in 2006!

The N95 8GB has been really popular with consumers and has been a real success for Nokia. As a entry level mobile phone the N95 8GB is very featureful (lots of bells and whistles!) contrasted with alternative mobile handsets within this price band. As you would expect from Nokia the styling of this mobile handset is good.
On to battery life the Nokia N95 8GB has 280 hours reserve charge and 6:00 talk time. The battery that is shipped with the N95 8GB is a Li-Ion 1200mAH (BL-6F). In terms of colours the N95 8GB is only available in Black. Weighing in at 128 g this mobile handset is pretty light. Compared to other models, the N95 8GB is quite compact. The N95 8GB supports 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and 3G HSDPA 850 / 1900 - US version. The N95 8GB is fitted with a 5 MP, 2592 x 1944 pixels, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, video(VGA 30fps), flash; secondary CIF videocall camera. For mobile Internet users as WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML browser is included. The Nokia N95 8GB is equipped with Polyphonic (64 channels), Monophonic, True Tones, MP3 ring tones plus a vibration alert. Moving on to the display the mobile phone is fitted with a 2.8 inch screen, which is a good sized display taking into consideration other phones you could get for the price. The display type is TFT, 16M colors. This phone is bluetooth enabled making a great deal of devices compatible. This mobile phone as a number of extras like, 3.5 mm audio output jack, Push to talk, MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+/WMA player, Organizer, Voice dial/memo, Built-in handsfree, Office document viewer, Java MIDP 2.0, Installed Maps application covering over 100 countries, Stereo FM radio, Built-in GPS receiver, TV out, A-GPS function and Dual slide design.
Unfortunately for Nokia the N95 8GB faces a lot of competition making it pretty easy to pick up a real bargain on this phone. The most effective way to purchase a mobile phone at the current time is on the Internet. Shopping online can deliver some significant cost savings, amazingly it is possible to get free line rental deals , which, if you read the terms and conditions will not cost very much at all, if anything.

Millions of people drink protein shakes every day. They’re the ideal health food: delicious, convenient, portable, and (usually) highly nutritious. Whether you’re trying to lose weight, build muscle, or just improve your health, protein shakes can be an incredibly effective way to reach your goals.
A good protein shake can help you:
- increase your energy levels
- boost your metabolism to burn fat quickly (and safely)
- increase your lean muscle mass
- enhance your immune system
- reduce/eliminate your appetite and food cravings
- increase your heart health
- lower cholesterol and blood pressure
- promote healing and recovery
Unfortunately the tasty, often expensive, concoctions you get at your local “smoothie” shop probably aren’t your best options. The recipes used at these places are geared much more toward taste than nutrition. Simply put, they’re loaded with sugar — often 30 grams or more — and frequently have no more than 10 or 15 grams of protein. That nutritional profile is much closer to a milk shake than a protein shake!
If you really want to enjoy all the great health and fitness benefits of a protein shake, it’s best to make your own. You can control exactly what goes into it and “optimize” it for your own goals: less calories/fat for weight loss, more protein for muscle building, etc. But maybe the biggest benefit of making your own shakes is that you can load them up with ultra-healthy ingredients that you may not eat otherwise (eg. flax seeds, coconut oil, fresh/frozen berries, etc.)
Here’s my personal recipe for what I call “The Perfect $1 Protein Shake” — an extremely healthy, energy-boosting, muscle-building shake you can make in about 3 minutes. If you buy the ingredients in bulk like I do, the total cost-per-shake should be about a dollar. Not a bad price for something much healthier than your average fast-food meal and just as convenient…
(Note: The following recipe actually makes enough for about 2 medium-sized shakes… or 1 really big shake! Feel free to add more or less of each ingredient to suit your own tastes and needs.)
Put all of the following ingredients into a large, heavy-duty blender and blend until liquefied:
16 oz. Low-Fat, Organic Milk — A very tasty “base” for the shake with slow-digesting casein protein, calcium, and several vitamins/minerals. If you don’t drink milk you can substitute soy milk or filtered water.
2 - 3 Scoops Whey Protein Powder (Generally 30 - 50 grams of protein, depending on the brand) — If you haven’t already heard, whey protein is an incredibly healthy substance that isn’t just for bodybuilders. No other protein feeds your muscles or boosts your immune system like whey. Just about anyone can benefit from this amazing food! (Note: Try to avoid protein powders sweetened with the artificial-sweetener aspartame.)
1 Cup Frozen Berries — Packed with fiber and antioxidants — with a very low glycemic impact — berries are some of the healthiest foods you can eat. Unsweetened frozen berries can be purchased year-around and are a great substitute for ice in any protein shake recipe.
1 Tbsp. Virgin Coconut Oil — A “good” saturated fat with a variety of health benefits that is full of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), a great source of energy.
1 Tbsp. Natural Peanut Butter — A great-tasting, highly filling nut butter with healthy mono- and polyunsaturated fats. Recent studies have shown that peanut butter is great for dieters because it reduces hunger and food cravings more than almost any other food.
1 Tbsp. Ground Flax Seeds — Flax seeds contain all-important omega-3 fatty acids, a vital component to good health. They also contain lignans (powerful antioxidants) as well as healthy dietary fiber. Many people prefer the nutty flavor of ground flax seeds over the “fishy” flavor of flax seed oil.
1 Medium Ripe Banana — A good source of potassium, fiber, and healthy carbs, a ripe banana is a great way to sweeten any protein shake.
Optional sweeteners — If you want to sweeten this (or any) protein shake, two good low-calorie sugar-alternatives are stevia and xylitol, both of which can usually be found in health food stores.
As you can probably tell, my “Perfect $1 Protein Shake” isn’t exactly low-calorie. In fact it has quite a bit of healthy fat and a decent amount of carbohydrates. But keep in mind that you don’t have to, and probably shouldn’t, drink the whole thing at once — unless your primary goal is to pack on muscle (in which case you might want to drink 2 or more a day!). What I like to do is make a blender-full in the morning, drink a glass for breakfast, take some with me to have as a “pick-me-up” in the afternoon, and then drink the rest at night.
Remember, there are literally thousands of ways to make a protein shake. Find some recipes you really like and don’t be afraid to experiment. As long as you base it around whey protein, just about any shake you make should have plenty of health benefits!

Firstly, what is an affiliate? Well it’s somebody who promotes other people’s products and services and for the result of a sale or lead earns a commission - a win/win situation for affiliate and retailer alike.
7 Reasons to start an Affiliate Business
• Minimum outlay costs, you don’t even need a website to get up and running. All that’s needed is plenty of enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
• Minimum risk - affiliate marketing provides you with the opportunity to learn what sells and how to sell it before trying to market your own product.
• It allows you to be creative - we are all secretly creative inside - it’s about enticing that creativity out of us that’s the key. Affiliate marketing does this.
• It’s better than selling your own product if you have no selling experience - there are no product design costs, no costly and time consuming product development, research and marketing expenses.
• Affiliate marketing allows you to hitch a ride on an already moving train, if you know something is already selling well, why not promote it and earn a commission?
• It can allow you to monetise an existing website. You may already be running your own website in something linked to a hobby or your local community or sports centre. Starting a small affiliate business on the side can allow you to extract extra income out of that very same website at very little extra cost and effort to you.
• It’s provides you with great ideas for your own product - after running an affiliate business you are bound to be hit with a lot of bright ideas yourself on creating your own products e.g. software, e-books, subscription services, marketing services, the list is endless - just getting started as an affiliate is all that is needed to start you on that road to business success.
3 reasons why it is a good time to start an affiliate business
• We’re travelling through the internet’s second boom right now - the medium is beginning to mature. Never have so many people been joining the internet and spending such copious amounts of time and cash online. The spread of broadband connections has taken off nicely and this is allowing ever more people to spend ever more time online and therefore: cash. Recent news has it from the BBC that British people with internet access are now spending more time online than they do watching television - this is a significant paradigm shift- would it be a good idea to delay starting?
• Technology is improving all the time so it’s never been a better time to start - just a few examples: podcast software, audio and visual technology are getting better all the time - new products in these areas are cropping up all the time - these products are just some that are right for electronic delivery that the internet provides with ease.
• You think the internet is big already? Yes it is in one way; estimates put it that 600 million people today are already online or have access to the internet. However, there are over 6 billion people on the planet; this means that only 10% of the world’s population is already online - or put another way - 90% aren’t even hooked up yet! Yes - 90% - and each day another 150,000 of these unconnected people join the internet - that’s close to 55 million new potential customers a year! That is a phenomenal growth rate and due to globalisation, more and more of these people have more disposable income - it can only mean profits for people running affiliate businesses. As they say, ‘you’ve go to be in it to win it’.
What kind of products should you promote?
• Anything- a good starting place is products linked to your hobbies - if you are already passionate about an area it’s going to be very easy to be enthusiastic about plugging products linked to your area of expertise.
• Electronic - this is one of the best ways to make an income online through affiliate marketing. By electronic I mean things such as e-books, software etc. Electronic products lend themselves to the internet, it is very easy to sell to people all over the world without costly inventory expenses - people buy and download - very simple.
• Subscription services: coaching and mentoring programs or services that provide ‘how to’ step by step knowledge that can help improve somebody’s circumstances. Subscription services are excellent for affiliate marketers, not only do they pay out a commission for the original sale or lead - but they also pay a recurring commission for as long as that person stays signed up to that program and is paying each month. One customer could potentially turn out to be a lifetime of income - this is quite a valuable thing: passive income. You only have to think about the exponential power of multiplication to realize that some tasty income is possible through the avenue of the internet here.
• Essentially, you can sell what you want provided the services and products are good - don’t sell trash - you’ll get burned in the long term. People aren’t idiots, they can spot garbage a mile off.
Is affiliate marketing easy?
• Well, it’s not hard - unless you do it wrong! That’s all well and good for you to say! Of course it is easy for me to say, but if you work hard, are willing to learn and apply the knowledge you’ve learnt and if you’re willing to be creative then there is no reason why you shouldn’t create yourself a nice long term income by setting up an affiliate business.
Downsides to affiliate marketing?
• There are always downsides to anything in life e.g. as an affiliate you don’t own the products so you don’t have any copyright or patent rights under your belt to help you to earn from them, but as I said before, there are downsides for having your own products (see above). And I’ve already said it too: Affiliate marketing allows you to come up with ideas to sell your own products anyway, so you can create whatever products you want in the long term.
• Technology constraints - a lot of affiliate marketers are missing out on revenues, some say potentially 40% - due to things like ‘cookie theft’ or from people simply cleaning out their cookies for maintenance purposes therefore the retailer gets all the benefit from your hard work. These problems are being ironed out all the time though, technology is constantly improving to reduce lost commissions and it’s better anyway to join programs that don’t use cookies - use ones that track the initial hit and forever link it to the affiliate so commissions are always paid out as they are rightly due.
Finally…
As I said before, affiliate marketing is an excellent way to get started earning online. It shows you the ropes to potentially setting up your own products, it teaches you the skills of online marketing and basically provides you with a gateway to achieving a long term, profitable online business. However, it doesn’t just have to just be a gateway; many affiliate marketers are earning a heck of a lot of money - you could too.

Some husbands have a perplexing time keeping a tooled up pecker and some girls have very long sex drives, meaning it will take the girl an exceedingly long time to climax Because of this contrast in sex drives, intercourse can often become a frustrating and undesirable love making session. That’s why thin dildos will be helpful. If the guy climaxes early in the love making session, or even if the female just takes longer than her bloke, he can continue to penetrate the female with the big dildo. That way all sexual play does not have to stop. It gives the man substantial time to recharge his energy and keeps the lady horned up. And so when he is prepared to come back into the sexual session, the chick will still be aroused enough to accept the man.
Your most sensual area is your brain. And as noticeably as legions of females will not admit this, the penis is a symbol of power, no matter how large or little, it is still associated with power. Penetrating your mistress with a big dildo might well make a fantasy of power activity reality.
Some folks savour the sensation of feeling full in their vagina or anus. Whenever a sexy toy such as a huge dildo, penetrates the vagina or back passage, the muscles contract around it. Innumerable girls note the tightening of the above mentioned muscles to be very enjoyable. Perfect for the quiet night in - Sex Toys.

However, there’s a negative side as well - and I feel it necessary to be exposed to potential users. Sometimes an important feature of every antivirus or anti-spyware - real-time scanning - is taken off of the free edition. So you can use such application for on-demand scans only; it doesn’t keep track of file operations and processes running in computer memory. It is legal software since it gets downloaded in a computer system with the user’s permission.
A close friend of mine walked into his minority SMB office, cup of coffee in hand and was blown away by this question no owner wants to hear coming from his sales manager - ‘Hey boss, is a keylogger, spyware? Of course the cup of coffee hit the floor as my friends blood pressure hit the roof. Like most SMBs or solo entrepreneurs they have no IT guy, so he/she wasn’t there to get fired on the spot. No, I got the brunt of the frustration - being his IT guy on the side and now we get to the global definition of spyware. Yes, the seemingly endless onslaught of cyber crime continues, this time via the innocent e-card - that which once was a nice surprise in the Inbox has become a gate to identity theft. Exploit Prevention Labs in Atlanta, GA reported in September that company researchers have discovered a scam in which e-cards are used to install keylogger software on the victim’s computer. The scam, which was executed by an Australian cyber criminal ring and is known as MDAC, involves sending to the user an e-card that appears to originate from a major online greeting card service. When the user clicks on the hyperlink to open the card, the browser is redirected to a exploit server, which checks to see if the computer has been updated with the latest security patches. If it hasn’t, the server installs a rootkit and keylogger, then redirects the computer on to an actual e-card. The user continues working on the computer, likely forgetting about the e-card. But from that point on, all keystrokes are being recorded and accessed by the attackers for use in identity theft. Winclear is the only software which is capable of removing keylogger programs. Stay aware and enjoy the details accessible through the WWW (World Wide Web). Winclear has been the industry leader in fighting keyloggers for the last 8 years.

Since the July 7th London bombings, CCTV security systems (closed circuit TV) across the world have been examined with greater scrutiny and with greater expectations for reducing crime. Although not a panacea for preventing crime, many CCTV surveillance systems have been successful at reducing some types of crimes like property crime, for acting as a deterrent in car parks or in other public places, and for making citizens feel safer. However, the results are mixed when addressing violent crimes and when the crimes involve alcohol.
In the UK, where an average person may be watched 300 times a day by the prevalent closed circuit television systems, numerous case studies paired with crime statistics have been used by Britain’s Home Office to determine the effectiveness of these CCTV systems and to see how well CCTV saves time and money for their police force. In fact, from 1999 to 2001, the British government spent £170 million (approximately $250 million) for closed circuit television security schemes in town and in city centers, car parks, crime hot spots and in residential areas.
Keys to evaluating CCTV systems
According to Coretta Philips of the Home Office Policing and Reducing Crime Unit, CCTV systems are evaluated using these identifiers which help police pinpoint where and when the CCTV security camera systems are most beneficial.
• Caught in the act — When potential offenders fear being recorded by the CCTV cameras for courtroom purposes, they usually abandon any idea of conducting a crime.• Publicity — If the CCTV camera schemes are public knowledge, then the would-be offenders may leave the target area, but may head to another area. Home Office data found that in the days leading up to the CCTV system activation, crime went down due to the increased publicity. However, if the publicity of the CCTV system is private, then offenders may be more likely to be deterred because they may think that CCTV security cameras may monitor other areas as well.
• Effective deployment of law enforcement officers — CCTV systems increase the response time of police officers to the incident scene before a member of public has to call the police. According to data compiled in 2004 by the Home Office, CCTV operators can determine how many officers to send to the scene and the CCTV surveillance cameras can indicate what the offenders are doing at the scene before the police arrive.
• Time for crime — If the offenders think that they can complete their crime before the CCTV systems can record it, then the police will have less chance at capturing the offenders. For example, if car thieves know that the security camera’s angle, range and speed are limited, they might determine how to best avoid the CCTV security cameras. However, the Home Office CCTV data has shown a reduction in car thefts in car parks, revealing that some offenders may still be captured on camera despite the speed of the crime.
Where CCTV systems scored well and where they missed
Although CCTV systems seem to reduce and deter property crime in public areas, such as car parks or shopping malls, CCTV systems aren’t as effective at stopping or preventing violent crimes. Although the CCTV systems do help at deploying police officers quickly to these violent crimes sites, the offenders may avoid the security cameras, since the security cameras are mounted in public zones, where violent crimes don’t take place. In this case, better street lighting may help to prevent such violent crimes from occurring. In addition, when alcohol is involved, the offenders don’t consider the consequences of their actions, making the CCTV systems ineffective as a deterrent amongst the intoxicated offenders.
On a positive note, the CCTV systems do reduce the public’s fear of crime and they do ensure the quick deployment of officers to the incident scene which gives less time for the offenders to act more violently. To truly verify if the CCTV system is effective, the law enforcement body needs to conduct video surveillance evaluations over a long period of time to weed out any inconsistencies in the crime data. Also, if the CCTV operators are well-trained and know the fastest way to deploy the police officers, then the CCTV system will be more effective. CCTV systems are the future for preventing crime, and as the CCTV security cameras become more sophisticated, more offenders will be caught and more crimes will be prevented.

There are a few things that you should consider when trying to make the decision to homeschool your children. This is a very important personal decision and should not be taken lightly at all. A few things that you should consider before making your decision are time commitment.
Do you really have the time to sit down with books for a couple of hours a day and complete the projects, prepare lesson plans, grade papers, plan field trips, and the list can go on forever. Homeschooling can take up a great portion of your day. It is a personal sacrifice when you are a Homeschooling parent.
You will have little or no personal time for yourself, let alone your spouse. You must make time for yourself and to take a step away from your daily Homeschooling and go shopping or just relax in a hot tub for a few hours.
Homeschooling is a great financial strain on the entire family. Usually the parent that is doing the teaching does not work outside of the home and the non teaching parent brings in all of the income. This can be a great strain on the family and maybe be very difficult for families who are used to living on two incomes.
Socialization is a very important factor when it comes to Homeschooling. A child must be able to socialize with other children their age. Homeschooling your child can make it a lot easier for you to control who your child comes in contact with and becomes friends with.
Organization plays a huge part for any Homeschooling parent. There is still the house work to be done during the day along with the teaching. You won’t always be able to keep the house as clean as you’d like or the laundry kept down to a minimum like it was before you chose to homeschool.
You should take careful consideration when it comes to deciding if you would like to be a homeschool teacher and you should decide if Homeschooling is right for your child as well as the entire family.

If you’re like me, you hate getting telemarketing phone calls. Even if they doesn’t interrupt your dinner, they are just wasting our time because those marketers are running a blanket campaign. They are perfectly willing to have their automated redialer make a hundred indiscriminate calls every twenty minutes. All they hope for is just two sheep who will say yes.
Don’t you hate all that spam in your mailbox, too? The excitement of fifty-three new messages dies quickly when you notice that most of them are business, not personal. Commercial bots collect your email addresses off bulletin boards, shopping sites, and “FREE!” drawing registrations so they can now send you their form letters. They don’t even do us the courtesy of targeting their ads! Just Viagra, porn, and the latest scams sent with an invalid return address.
Here is my solution: communication tollbooths. Charge everyone for taking up each other’s time. “Time is money” according to the proverb, so why should we have to give ours away for free? I would be okay with people wasting my time as long as they paid me for it.
Anyone who calls me on the phone should have to pay a dollar per minute. I could make five bucks just listening to the sales pitches of a phone company trying to get me to switch long-distance service. Spouses could stay home all day and make sixty dollars an hour doing what they like to do anyway: talking on the phone!
Note: I get to press the “#” key which means “refund” so that my friends or business colleagues do not get charged. They are not wasting my time, so they don’t have to pay. But wrong numbers and prank callers? Ring ‘em up! Ch-ching baby! $$$ You had better be sure of your target before you dial my number.
Every email should only hit my mailbox after depositing a quarter into my Paypal account. That way the thirty or so unwelcome solicitation mails per day will start to pay off my eBay purchases. Any advertisers should have to bet that their titles will be interesting enough to get me to read their product ads. Then no one would worry about their email address getting “farmed” onto those accursed mailing lists.
The good part is, any welcome mailings will receive an automatic refund when I email them back. They’ll get a quarter from me, the same as they just spent to reach me. People will start writing you better than two-sentence emails too, since they’ll want to get their money’s worth. Plus, if you start to dislike a friend, stop giving them refunds by mailing back. They’ll get the picture as their Paypal account dries up.
Communication tollbooths! You could have been earning money just by reading this article.
