Cruising is a less common way of spending a fun and exciting vacation; but before you jump from your seat and start packing, here are some details about cruising that you might want to know.
Pack enough clothes for the cruise. Bring light casual dresses; you may bring jackets and trousers as well. Also, bring a robe or a garment that you may use to wrap your body as you walk from your room to the pool. There are also cruise lines that call for certain dress codes such as formal or evening wear in their dining rooms, so be sure to check with your travel agent regarding your cruise line’s dress requirements.
Other items that should be included in your baggage are slippers, dress shoes, medicine kit, snorkeling gear, cameras, batteries, and some toiletries that might not be available inside the ship.
Try to fly in one day before embarkation, if not, then the latest to arrive should be by noon before the cruise. This is because you have to consider certain factors that may hold up your arrival such as flight delays and other transportation problems. This is very much a reality especially in winter, due to heavy snowfall. You are having a vacation so the least that you need is stress due to some setbacks.
