British Land’s market value has fallen by a whopping 64% since the economy started getting into problems. The company has lost its property value by about £3.2 billion and it is now in a rescue mode, reducing its debts by £3.24 billion and selling assets worth £2 billion.

Despite, the downturn, British Land claims that 96% of its properties have been leased out for the recent accounting period.
